November

Happy November!

Things grow on a bit of a different schedule here, and I am very excited about the new seeds we have sprouting. While picking up a new metal rake, my son spotted these Dixie cup size containers. They are Jiffy plants, because they grow in a "jiffy" I guess. He picked up two containers of sunflower seeds. After watering and planting the seeds, Voila!

We have starfruit seeds germinating at the moment in some old yogurt containers. I'm not sure how those will work out, but my son anxiously checks on them every morning.

There is a new Plumeria tree in the backyard garden. The flowers smell very much like jasmine. It makes me happy every time we are out back.

After reading about NaBloPoMo on FiddleMama's blog, I decided to join. I'm pretty excited about challenging myself in that way. We lead fairly simple lives here, and are happy that way. So, it'll be interesting to see if I can write every day for the entire month!

While I'd love the attention, I wouldn't be able to at the convention...
